Koskenkorva Vodka
A whole product family of Koskenkorva beverages
Koskenkorva has kept up with the times and the product selection has been moderately diversified. The selection includes a number of products that have become extremely popular. The 38% vol. Salmiakki Koskenkorva Liqueur, with its traditional salty liquorice flavour – extremely popular in Finland – was introduced in 1993. It gained such huge popularity that health authorities decided it was necessary to protect the young people who had gone wild over the drink by taking it off the market. In the end, the people did get what they wanted with the return of Salmiakki Koskenkorva in 1995. But once more the nation’s favourite drink with its unbeatable attraction was meddled with: the drink was re-introduced for the third time in 1997, this time in a diluted, 32% vol. version.
Koskenkorva Vodka is today the most sold imported vodka in Sweden. It is also the number one export product beyond Scandinavia. Vodkas flavoured with Blueberry, fresh Green Apple, Vanilla, Nordic Berries and Lingonberry respond to international trends and add versatility to the Koskenkorva product family. Liqueurs include Koskenkorva Salmiakki and its cool and composed sister drink Koskenkorva Minttu, as well as the fresh fruit and berry flavours of Koskenkorva Peach, Strawberry and Cranberry. The product family is completed with crisp and fresh long drinks flavoured with apple, lime, cranberry and blueberry.
Koskenkorva’s product development will continue to invest in the varieties of flavoured vodka, as these exotic Nordic flavours are in increasingly high demand internationally.
